How the day runs

Check-in opens

Every player signs a waiver on site.

Check-in closes

Free agents get placed and meet their squads. Brackets go up on the white board.

First game

Round 1 — double elimination.

Championship

On the main court, with the boardwalk watching.

Venice Beach rules

Game to 13
First to 13 or ten minutes, whichever comes first. High score wins.
All ones
Every basket counts one, from anywhere on the floor.
Call your own fouls
Players make the call. The court moderator has the final say.
Clear past the arc
Take the ball back behind the three-point line on every change of possession.
Losers out
The team that got scored on takes the ball out.
Three plus one
Three on the floor, one sub. Everyone plays.
Open division
Two brackets: 16 and under, and 17 and up.

The same concrete that's held summer league since the late '70s. Street parking fills by 8am — the lot at Windward and Ocean Front is your best bet.
